I'm taking a break from glish.com.

My grandmother just came close to death, which makes me acutely aware of how irresponsible I am as a grandson. And a brother. And a son, and a husband, and a father. I spend time and energy maintaining a website while I neglect the people that matter most in my life.

And we'll be moving to New York in July, which means I have 6 weeks left here in Saint Louis. It is just now dawning on me how many friends I will be leaving behind, and I'm starting to realize how much I'm going to miss them. So I'd rather concentrate on real life for now, and stop spending so much time staring at a computer.

I am not trying to make you feel guilty for staring at a computer screen right now, but please make sure you write your grandmother a letter sometime soon.
