I recorded this one night deciding to go with all first takes in an attempt to jumpstart my musical production that had been floundering under excessive worries about quality control. Plus, I like the melodies that come from improvised lyrics. Of course the trade off is that the lyrics only mean as much as an unedited stream of consciousness can mean. I guess they probably say more about me than anything else.
Plus, doing a song with all first takes means the performance and recording quality can suffer: notice the digital distortation on this song that came from a too-hot microphone.
